Toora Women

Through our strategic partnership with Toora Women Inc over the past few years, we provide pro bono support to the Board, CEO and wider team with their strategic planning, and leadership coaching.

Most recently we led them through their annual strategic planning process, comprising preparation and then a series of three workshops that we planned and facilitated.

Following discussions with the CEO we agreed that we would begin with a workshop for their relatively new Board of Directors to strategically align and connect them; explore their roles, responsibilities and how they could best add value to Toora; and to set the organisation’s priorities for the coming year.

We then facilitated a full-day workshop for Toora leadership and teams, to better understand how to embed diversity and inclusion into their operations, programs, mindsets and behaviours. This included presentations by influential representatives from Disability, Indigenous and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse organisations, followed by workshopping of ways to integrate this thinking into the way the team works and delivers its services. Artemis also worked with these organisations to design and facilitate their sessions.

With Board priorities, and a better understanding of the needs of marginalised people in their community in place, we then designed and facilitated a third full-day workshop where their entire team focused on their values, mission, strategy, growing operations and the impacts on how each team will deliver its services in a more integrated and woman-centred way.
